The Eureka Mignon Silenzio in everyday use

The Silenzio espresso grinder comes from the Mignon family and is a further development of the Mignon MCI, which already enjoys cult status in the portafilter scene. Eureka and its team are always open to customer wishes and have incorporated these into the revised Silenzio model and its "Mignon" model range.

As the name suggests, the Silenzio is one of the most efficient coffee grinders on the market and is one of the key features to its predecessor, the Mignon MCI. The grind is adjusted via a stepless adjustment wheel, which allows the grind to be adjusted very precisely and effortlessly. The ACE system (Anti-Clumps and Electrostaticity) minimises the amount of ground coffee spilling next to the portafilter, despite the high and short ejection without a funnel. The Silenzio grinds very homogeneously with its 50mm disc grinder, which ensures an even and better extraction. It has a timer setting for one cup and a manual-only barista mode.

Filter coffee, moka or French press can be easily achieved with the Silenzio thanks to the infinitely variable grind setting and removable portafilter fork.

The Mignon is available in four different versions as the Silenzio, Perfetto, Specialita and another one especially for the German market, the Magnifico.

We recommend the Silenzio for smaller portafilter machines with a vibration pump, such as the Bezzera BZ10, Profitec Pro 300 or the Rocket Espresso Appartamento and similar machines. It is still one of the entry-level grinders, but its high-quality metal housing and grind quality, as well as its performance, clearly set it apart from the inexpensive plastic grinders from mass production.
