Dualboiler portafilter with pressure profiling

Dual-boiler portafilter espresso machines with pressure profiling.

An approximately 120° boiler for steam and hot water and a separate smaller boiler at approximately 93° for espresso.

Dual boilers combine the advantages of single-circuit machines with those of dual-circuit machines. They are as precise in temperature as a single-circuit machine and offer the simultaneous and easy MIlch frothing of the dual-circuit machine. Both boilers can be precisely controlled on most models and can be set to the ideal temperature for the bean or milk foaming.

.

Rotary pumps consist of a heavy, powerful electric motor with a pump head. They need no counterpressure, are immediately at full pressure and are very quiet. Relative to vibration pumps, they are somewhat more expensive.

Pressure profiling allows precise and repeatable control of the extraction process. The pre-infusion (let sour beans come rather slowly), the pressure build-up, the extraction (classically at 9 bar) and the finish (with strongly bitter beans the last 8-10 seconds with less pressure) form the four phases of the extraction. Profiling can be done by means of a controllable valve or a gear pump.

Perfect for espresso specialists and friends of foamed milk.
