ECM Classika PID Single Circuit Fast Heat Up
NEW: Fast Heat UP
This machine is equipped with the new "Fast Heat Up". This means that the machine only needs about half the heating time of its predecessor model. The brewing boiler is overheated to around 30 degrees for 3 minutes to achieve a perfect brewing temperature. For the first 11 minutes, "UP" appears on the display; this is the warm-up program. At around 11:30 minutes, the display jumps to "FLU". The brewing group including the portafilter should then be rinsed with water for around 20 seconds. The overheated water from the boiler is then pumped through the "too cold" E61 brewing group, thereby warming the brewing group and the portafilter. We then recommend a 1-minute rest phase and espresso can then be made at 92 degrees.
Heats up very quickly with excellent espresso results
This single-circuit espresso machine has it all. It is technically equipped with all the finesse. The first espresso can be made from the ECM Classika PID portafilter after just 10 minutes. The machine is suitable for households where espresso is the main drink. The steam from the Classika is impressive; it is strong and dry. For lovers of milk creations, however, switching back and forth from espresso to steam mode is quite cumbersome in the long run.
Finest classic manufactured machine with compact dimensions
A single-circuit machine of the finest quality, inside and out. Below the removable cup tray is the sufficiently large water tank, which can be removed upwards. Of course, the orange control light reports when the water level is too low and switches the machine off in time to prevent overheating. The cup tray gets warm enough to preheat enough espresso cups. 10 minutes after switching on the portafilter, you can start: pull the small lever of the E-61 group upwards, the quietly mounted vibration pump purrs off and produces a delicious espresso with fine-pored crema. To control the duration of the extraction, the PID temperature display automatically switches to the shot timer display as soon as the extraction begins and shows you the run-through time in seconds. Perfect, after 22-25 seconds the lever is pressed down again. Now simply enjoy espresso like in Italy. Does the espresso taste a little too bitter or too sour? The PID temperature control allows you to get the best out of every bean by ideally adjusting the temperature of your bean. Guests who would like to drink a cappuccino? Switch the machine to steam mode using a toggle switch, let some water out of the steam nozzle to make room for the developing steam. After about 1 minute, the time has come: the dry and sufficiently strong steam is easily enough to froth two cappuccinos. If you want to serve more than two guests with cappuccinos, you should froth again.
