Dalla Corte Mina | Portafilter machine | yellow
High end portafilter machine
The Mina is one of the high-end espresso machines and impresses with new innovations that make the passionate barista's heart beat faster, whether in the coffee bar at home or in the trendy Korean café. Equipped with the tried and tested and extremely temperature-stable Dalla Corte brewing group, an equally precise pressure profiling and the multi-boiler technology in one of the most beautiful designs ever. Elegant control via a stylish lever, as well as heavy metal-free components that come into contact with drinking water are available exclusively from Dalla Corte.
In addition to the multi-boiler technology, a new Swiss precision flow meter ensures the most precise automatic dosing. The special feature lies above all in the new DFR valve (Digital Flow Regulation), which controls the flow of the brewing water. Up to 5 freely selectable (100 control variables) positions can be set freely (in seconds) and reproduced exactly. The technology is similar to pressure profiling, but works via the flow, not as usual via the pressure of the pump. The resulting pressure in the brewing head is displayed separately in the central pressure gauge.
Amazingly, different components of the beans can be emphasized more or less in this way. So it is no longer just a matter of harmonious and "not tasty", but of actual flavor nuances. The same bean can taste delicious and balanced, fruity (more so with a low permeability) or strong and spicy (more so with a high permeability).
Like all Dalla Corte machines, the Mina is made exclusively from CW510L (lead-free brass) in all metal components that come into contact with drinking water. As far as we know, this is unique in the world. Another special feature of the Dalla Corte machines is the slightly narrower portafilter diameter of 54mm. This means that the surface area of the coffee puck is smaller, optimizing the extraction rate through a more even extraction.
In everyday life
How do you like your espresso best? Sweet, fruity and sour, or strong and bitter? With the Mina, you can now control this down to the last millimeter. While pressure profiling and brew ratio can be quite complex at first, Dalla Corte has developed a very comprehensive but intuitive app that shows the user in an easy-to-understand way how to brew the desired espresso. The 5 intervals for pressure profiling are displayed graphically and can be easily adjusted and saved. The set profiles can be started using the lever in a stylish manner. Once a suitable shot has been found, all parameters can be saved and easily reproduced perfectly using the quantity programming. The brewing temperature can be set to a tenth of a degree and is kept constant using a PID controller.
The Mina is operated using the central lever and the multi-function button. The button is used to select the type of use (single espresso / double espresso / water dispensing for 1 dose / water dispensing for 2 doses / manual selection of the outlet with the switch lever / cleaning). The portioning and a short cleaning shot can also be selected here. The lever is used to trigger and, if necessary, to select the outlet sizes.
Thanks to the 3-liter service boiler, the Mina produces very dry steam and creates extremely fine-pored milk foam. Of course, the temperature of the service boiler can also be controlled via the app.
