BWT's Bestsave in-tank water filter bag is a limescale protection pad for coffee machines with a water tank. Designed for all portafilter machines with a plastic water tank and a large opening. The water in the tank must not exceed 40°C. The BWT Bestsave limescale protection pad removes calcium and magnesium limescale from the water, while retaining valuable trace elements and minerals. It also protects against bacterial growth in the water tank. Simple and ingenious. The filter bag is simply placed in the plastic water tank, and the ion exchange takes place automatically. The process takes approximately 8-10 hours; it's best to fill the tank in the evening to ensure there's enough decalcified water for the following day. The bag has a capacity of approximately 85 liters at 10°C German water hardness and must be replaced at least every two months.
