The IMS B662TH26M Competition precision sieve Dalla Corte for two cups (14 to 18 grams) has round holes with a conical cross-section, which ensure even better crema formation and extraction.
The shape was determined by IMS to get the right ratio between the base and height of the coffee puck. The filter is designed with a cylindrical convex bottom to collect the coffee towards the center during extraction. This shape is designed to utilize the entire coffee puck.
