This tamping mat, made of food-grade silicone, is 3mm thick and protects your work surface from unwanted damage caused by the portafilter. The outer edge is 6mm thick, preventing coffee grounds from sliding off the mat, making it easier to keep your countertop clean. There's a round recess in one corner for your tamper.
